About the Cabbaging Cove
Chinese Soldier of Infantry, or “Tiger of War”
Infantrymen were dubbed “Tigers of War” by missionaries for obvious reasons, reflecting their garb. Their scimitars are somewhat crude, but their shields are able to withstand any sword blow, despite being made of wicker and basket weaving. The thickness and tightness of the weave imparts a particular strength to them not seen even in many metal or wooden shields.
